The 102030Go! daily system is unique because it asks children engage in:
- 10 minutes of prayer
- 20 minutes of reading
- 30 minutes of chores
The 102030Go! Family Responsibility Kit comes with an instruction booklet, chore chart, prayer board, and weekly theme cards where your child can keep track of their daily activities.
These are all things that we would probably ask our children to do, just add some structure and accountability to it. I am particularly interested in BB's relationship with God. We talk a lot about God and prayer in my house and I want him to feel that it's as natural as breathing. There's nothing more beautiful than hearing a young child talk about God in a positive manner. I will admit that I made some alterations to this system. Knowing my child's attention span, there's no way I could have him do chores for 30 minutes straight. I break it up into 10 minute slots to ensure he stays on task. I have a timer that I let him set so he knows when his time is up and he can do other things. We also make weekly (sometimes more) trips to the library so he never has a shortage of reading material.
